What You Need to Know About the SportDOG Launcher

We are proud to announce that the SportDOG Brand® Remote Launcher System is hitting stores near you. We have information about the latest in our dog training line on our website. Currently, these are not available for purchase directly from us, but they are hitting shelves at brick and mortar and online retailers across the country. We’ve received some great questions from you all about the system. You can find full information on our website, but here are some answers to the questions we’ve heard most often:

How many devices can the Remote Launcher System Operate?

One Launcher Receiver can operate up to 8 wingers/launchers (devices that utilize a servo) with extension cables plugged into ports 1-8 and one SportDOG Launcher Basket using the”0” or “S” (solenoid) port for a total of 9 devices per Receiver. Each Transmitter can operate 4 Receivers allowing you to control up to 36 devices with a single Transmitter.

Which devices will the Remote Launcher Receiver operate?

In addition to the SportDOG Brand Basket, the Receiver can be attached to a variety of devices including: other manufacturer’s baskets, wingers, or other launcher devices. Only use the SportDOG Brand extension cables when connecting other devices. Check with the manufacturer to ensure compatibility.

Can I program my existing SportDOG Brand Transmitter to the Launcher Receiver?

Yes, the majority of our transmitters can be programmed to the Receiver. These include: SD-425, SD-425S, SD-425CAMO, SD-825, SD-1225, SD-1825, SD-1825CAMO, SD-1875 and SD-2525 transmitters. It is important to note that these will only operate 1 receiver. To be able to operate multiple receivers you will need the Remote Launcher Transmitter.

I am interested in the Launcher, but I do not need the complete kit. Are other options available?

Yes, we offer 4 different product combinations in this line so you can get exactly what you need to build the perfect training program for your dog. The complete Launcher System (SD-LAUNCHER-KIT) includes the Transmitter, Receiver and Basket. The SD-LAUNCHER-TR offers the Transmitter and Receiver. The SD-BASKET-R includes the Basket and Receiver if you would just like to add more baskets to your current setup and the SD-LAUNCHER-R includes only the receiver.
